Tēnā koe Uinita, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey again!
Well done for stepping it up and creating three great haiku! It was so cool to see the video of you reading your poetry.
I think it’s awesome that you’ve selected a theme and written a collection of seasonal haiku! You have done a great job at presenting it with matching colours and imagery too!
My favourite part of each is the last line - you have a powerful way with words when finishing off your writing! Like “winter’s coming soon,” “stay inside, stay warm,” and “now I have sunburn.” These are very clever and had a lasting impact on my imagination!
If you were to write a haiku about spring, what kind of elements would you include? I find that there are lots of beautiful flowers that blossom, as well as the spring rain and baby animals!
Awesome work Uinita and keep up the great blogging - I am thoroughly enjoying getting to read your posts!
Thank you for commenting on my blog! Also yes for spring I would've included similar things to what you mentioned like flowers, a blossom tree, baby animals etc. :)
Thank you for sharing these awesome haikus! I love how descriptive your language is. I can really see the colours of the leaves, feel the cold air or the warmth of the sun. You are a great poet!
Keep up the great mahi! I’d love to read more of your writing.
